Graduates can work in both public and private sectors. They are trained to secure jobs in national and international companies and have the tools to launch their own businesses. Moreover, they possess the same professional rights as graduates of other economics and administrative science programs.
Graduates can work in foreign trade, logistics, financial departments, banking, and capital markets. Career paths include roles in export-import departments, treasury and fund management units of banks, insurance companies, factoring and leasing firms, customs consultancy, and logistics companies. They are also eligible to become certified public accountants or financial advisors and work in government institutions such as the Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Finance, Central Bank, and Capital Markets Board. Additionally, they can take all competitive exams available to economics and administrative sciences graduates.
Located in the center of Turkey’s industrial heartland, OSTİM Technical University was founded in close collaboration with the business world. From the second semester of their first year and throughout their final year, students participate in the “Workplace Experience” program, which integrates theoretical and practical knowledge through real-world business involvement.
The program covers essential subjects like economics, business, finance, marketing, accounting, and logistics. It also includes courses such as mathematics, statistics, and management information systems to develop analytical and technical skills. Specialized courses like International Trade Theories, Import-Export Operations, Trade Law, and Global Brand Management equip students with domain expertise. Electives such as International Portfolio Management and Innovation Management allow further specialization. Through the “Workplace Experience” model, students apply general knowledge, technical skills, and professional behavior in real-world settings—boosting their employability in both national and international markets.
The language of instruction is 100% English. Students who do not meet the required language proficiency must enroll in the university’s English Preparatory Program. This includes a Placement Exam and a Proficiency Exam. Students scoring 60+ in both are exempt. Others are placed in levels based on their scores to complete the preparatory curriculum.
Yes. In line with national higher education regulations, students can pursue double majors and minors across related programs. International Trade and Finance students may apply for a second major or a minor as early as the third semester, provided they meet the departmental criteria. This includes programs in the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and other relevant faculties based on national exam score types.
