5G: From Infrastructure to Vertical Sector Applications… Expectations, Opportunities, Challenges

Under the coordination of OSTİM Teknik Üniversitesi—which strives to effectively connect technological advancements with industry and manufacturing—and hosted by OSTİM Organize Sanayi Bölgesi, with the support of Haberleşme Teknolojileri Kümelenmesi (HTK), TESİD, and the Frekans Mühendisler Platformu, we are planning to hold a workshop titled “5G: From Infrastructure to Vertical Sector Applications; Expectations, Opportunities, Challenges” on Tuesday, 3 February 2026. 

At this stage, as final preparations are underway for the launch of 5G services in our country on 1 April 2026, this workshop will address the outcomes achieved through publicly supported initiatives and explore how 5G applications can contribute to industry, institutions, and organizations in the upcoming period.
The workshop aims to bring together relevant public authorities, companies experienced in infrastructure development, mobile network operators, as well as representatives from academia, industry, SMEs, and students to foster interactive discussions. In particular, it seeks to explore how we can benefit from 5G, what value-added services can be developed, and to create a common platform where different stakeholders can share their perspectives, evaluations, and needs.
