Department of International Trade and Finance
The Department of International Trade and Finance aims to educate globally-minded, strategically thinking, team-oriented, and entrepreneurial top-level managers and experts in international trade and finance, based on the principles of international business, institutions, organizations, and the international commercial and economic system.
With an interdisciplinary approach, the curriculum provides students with comprehensive knowledge in international economics, business, trade, finance, marketing, and logistics. Thanks to its interdisciplinary structure, the program nurtures managers equipped with critical thinking skills, capable of adapting easily to global market changes, and able to make strategic decisions.
Academic Outcomes for Our Students
The International Trade and Finance program includes courses in economics, business, finance, and logistics. Through these courses, students acquire foundational knowledge in areas such as international trade, marketing, and finance. To foster their development in analytical thinking and technical skills, the program also offers courses such as Mathematics, Statistics, and Management Information Systems.
In addition, the curriculum offers advanced elective courses in international economics and financial institutions, allowing students to specialize in areas of their interest. Case studies, simulations, workshops, conferences, and teamwork will be used as instructional techniques, supported by the latest technologies.

Career Opportunities for Graduates
Graduates of the program find opportunities in both the private and public sectors. They are primarily trained to work in private companies operating nationally and internationally. Moreover, graduates of this department hold all the rights of graduates of other economics and administrative sciences programs.
Employment Opportunities
Graduates will find employment opportunities particularly in OSTİM and its surrounding region, where the university is physically located. Especially in foreign trade and logistics, they can work in various departments of firms, as well as in public institutions, particularly in relevant ministries and government agencies.
Some of the potential institutions and fields of employment include:
- Export and import departments, and finance units of national and international companies,
- Treasury, foreign transactions, and fund management departments of banks,
- National and international money and capital markets as fund and portfolio managers,
- Insurance companies, factoring and leasing companies in their foreign trade or international operations units,
- Customs consultancy and logistics firms,
- As certified public accountants or financial consultants.
Additionally, they can be employed as specialists in relevant public institutions such as the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, the Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the Central Bank, and the Capital Markets Board.
Graduates also have the right to sit for all competitive examinations open to graduates of Faculties of Economics and Administrative Sciences.
